For more than 17 years, I’ve turned young men into warriors—first in the Marine Corps, now through football.

I’m Justin Sedelmaier, a Marine Corps combat veteran and head varsity football coach. My leadership journey started in the Marines. I led men in the field as an Infantry Squad Leader. Then, I helped run battalion operations as an Assistant Operations Chief. Leadership isn’t about titles or just giving orders. It’s about setting the standard. It’s about making hard decisions. It’s about earning trust when it matters most.

When my military service ended, I lost my sense of purpose. I battled PTSD and depression—struggling to find my place outside the uniform. But eventually, I found a new mission: mentoring the next generation. As a football coach, I don’t just teach X’s and O’s. I help young men become disciplined, resilient, and accountable. This happens both on the field and in life. I treat my players like family, and I measure success by the men they become long after the final whistle.

Facing those struggles shaped how I coach. I guarantee no young man on my team feels alone. I build a culture where honesty, support, and the resilience to overcome adversity are the standard.

My approach combines no-nonsense discipline with genuine care. I’m not here to give you theory or recycled self-help advice. Every tool, lesson, and strategy I share has been battle-tested—first under fire, then under Friday night lights.
